During the days and weeks leading up to Easter Sunday, spend some time focusing on the impact of Christ’s resurrection. After all, the entire Christian faith hinges on this event. The only way that eternal life would be possible was through the death of Christ. Without Him – apart from Him – there is neither resurrection nor life. Christ is the Source of eternal life.
As we travel together through Scripture over these next several weeks, we will read how the resurrected Christ was seen on earth by many people for 40 days before His ascension. We’ll begin by looking at the greatest event in human history, Christ’s resurrection. Next, we will walk through the many different appearances He made to people and what He did before leaving and giving us the gift of His Helper, the Holy Spirit. Then, we will end our study with the ascension of Jesus.
How amazing it is that we can read of those who saw Jesus alive and marvel at the proof of this event, but we can also know first-hand that Jesus is alive!
